This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4908ADHR, is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic heating and cooling systems. With a high velocity flow, it separates the air and dirt particles from the water, ensuring that the system runs smoothly and efficiently. The removable top cover allows for easy access to clean out any accumulated debris. This model features an 8" flanged connection and can handle up to 150 psi of pressure. The separator is an essential component in any hydronic system as it helps prevent damage to pumps, valves, and other components caused by air pockets or debris buildup.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
