This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4908ADH, is an essential component of any hydronic system. With an 8" flanged connection and a maximum pressure rating of 150 psi, this separator effectively removes air and dirt from the system, ensuring its efficient operation. The separator works by utilizing centrifugal force to remove air and dirt particles from the circulating water. As the water enters the separator, it is forced into a high-velocity spin, which separates out any air or dirt particles that may be present. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
