This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4902AH, is designed to remove air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. The 2" flanged connection allows for easy installation into the system. With a maximum pressure rating of 125 psi, this air separator can handle high velocity flows up to 30 feet per second. The unique design includes a stainless steel coalescing medium that helps to remove even the smallest air bubbles and microbubbles from the system. This helps to improve system efficiency, reduce maintenance costs and extend the life of your equipment. By removing air from the system, this air separator also helps to prevent corrosion and scaling in your pipes and equipment.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
