This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 49025ADHR, is a high velocity separator designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. It features a removable top cover for easy maintenance and cleaning, as well as a 2.5" flanged connection for easy installation. With a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi, this separator is perfect for commercial applications. The separator works by using a patented coalescing medium that separates the air and dirt from the water in the system, allowing it to be removed through the purge valve. This ensures that the system operates efficiently and reduces the risk of damage caused by air and dirt buildup.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
