This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4902ADHTR, is a high-velocity, removable top cover unit with a 2" threaded connection and a maximum working pressure of 150 psi. Designed for use in hydronic systems, this separator effectively removes air and dirt particles from the system to improve its overall efficiency and lifespan. As water flows through the separator, it is directed into a spiral motion that forces any air or dirt particles to separate from the water and collect at the bottom of the unit. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
