This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4920ADR, features a removable top cover and a 20" flanged connection capable of handling up to 150 psi. Designed for use in hydronic systems, this separator is engineered to remove air and dirt particles from the system's water supply. As water enters the separator, it is forced through a coalescing medium that separates out any air or dirt present in the flow. These contaminants are then collected in the separator's bottom chamber where they can be easily removed through a blowdown valve. The result is a cleaner and more efficient hydronic system that operates with less noise and requires less maintenance over time.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
