This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4904AD, is a reliable solution for removing air and dirt from hydronic systems. With a 4" flanged connection and a maximum pressure rating of 150 psi, this separator can handle large commercial applications with ease. The separator works by using a coalescing medium to remove microbubbles of air and tiny particles of dirt from the system's water. The separated air is vented out through an automatic air vent, while the separated dirt is collected in the bottom of the separator for easy removal. This product is ideal for use in heating and cooling systems, as well as industrial processes that require clean water for optimal performance.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
