This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4902ADH, is a high-velocity separator designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. With its 2" flanged connection and 150 psi capacity, it is ideal for commercial applications. The separator works by creating a low-velocity zone where air and dirt can collect and be removed from the system through a blowdown valve. This prevents blockages in pipes, pumps, and other components that can reduce efficiency and cause damage. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
