This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4912AR, is designed to remove air and microbubbles from hydronic systems with ease. The removable top cover allows for easy access and maintenance while the 12" flanged connection ensures a secure fit. With a maximum pressure rating of 125 psi, this air separator is suitable for a wide range of commercial applications. The Taco 4900 Series uses a patented PALL ring technology that efficiently separates air from water in the system. As water flows through the separator, the PALL rings create a low-pressure zone which allows air to be released into the top chamber and vented out through an automatic float vent. This process improves system efficiency, reduces noise and prevents corrosion by eliminating trapped air in hydronic systems.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
