This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Dirt Separator, Model 4902DM, is a highly efficient device that removes dirt, debris, and other contaminants from hydronic systems. It features a switchable on/off magnet that attracts and captures ferrous particles, preventing them from circulating in the system. The separator has a 2" flanged connection and can handle pressures up to 125 psi. As water flows through the separator, it is forced to change direction several times, allowing heavier particles to settle at the bottom of the unit. These contaminants can then be easily flushed out through the blow-down valve. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
