This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 49025ADR, is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. The removable top cover allows for easy access to the internal components, simplifying maintenance and cleaning. With a 2.5" flanged connection and a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this separator can handle high-volume flow rates in commercial applications. Additionally, it is PSA compatible, making it suitable for use in primary secondary air (PSA) systems. When installed in a hydronic system, the separator works by using centrifugal force to remove air and dirt particles from the fluid stream, ensuring that the system operates at peak efficiency.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
