This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4910ADHG, is designed to remove air and debris from hydronic heating and cooling systems. With a high velocity of up to 20 feet per second, this separator effectively removes even the smallest particles down to 5 microns in size. The 10" grooved connection allows for easy installation into piping systems and the separator can handle pressures up to 125 psi. The separator works by utilizing a coalescing medium that separates air and dirt from the system fluid, which is then removed through a bottom drain valve. This product is an essential component for maintaining optimal performance and efficiency in commercial hydronic systems.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
