This Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator, Model ACT18F, is a high-quality air separator designed to remove air from hydronic systems. The separator features an 18" flanged connection and can operate at pressures up to 125 psi. The unit comes with a strainer and base ring for added convenience during installation. The tangential design of the separator ensures that air is removed from the system quickly and efficiently. As water flows through the separator, it is forced to change direction, causing any air bubbles to rise to the top of the chamber where they can be easily vented out of the system. This process helps to improve the overall efficiency of hydronic systems by preventing air pockets from forming and reducing the risk of corrosion or damage caused by trapped air.
ACT Series Overview
Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separators feature a highly efficient tangential design that helps clear the free air system and reduces un-dissolved sediment to save money, energy, and component wear.
