This Chemtrol threaded union is an injection molded natural Kynar polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) thermoplastic fitting that features female pipe thread connections. Natural Kynar (PVDF) fittings are ideal for use with ultra-pure water, deionized/distilled and demineralized water systems, clean chemical processes, pharmaceutical operations and food processing. This Chemtrol threaded union is supplied with a FKM fluorocarbon seal which is suited to most applications involving mineral acids, salt solutions, chlorinated hydrocarbons and petroleum oils. It is also available with EPDM ethylene propylene which has good abrasion and tear resistance, plus excellent chemical resistance, but not recommended for applications involving petroleum oils or most strong acids. Chemtrol Kynar natural PVDF exhibits superior strength, working temperature and chemical resistance characteristics. Natural pigment provides UV protection.
