This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 49025ATR, is designed to efficiently remove air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. It features a removable top cover for easy access during maintenance and cleaning, and a 2.5" threaded connection for secure installation. With a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this air separator can handle high-pressure systems commonly found in commercial settings. The 49025ATR model is specifically designed to be used in hydronic systems with up to 150 gallons per minute flow rate. As water flows through the device, it separates any air bubbles that may be present, allowing for optimal system performance and preventing damage caused by trapped air.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
