This Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator, Model ACT04, is a 4" flanged connection device that operates at a maximum pressure of 150 psi and comes with a base ring. The air separator works by removing air from hydronic systems through the use of centrifugal force. As water flows through the device, any air present in the system is forced to the outer edges of the separator and collected in a chamber where it can be easily released. This process improves system efficiency and prevents damage caused by trapped air such as corrosion or reduced heat transfer. The 4" flanged connection allows for easy installation into larger systems while the base ring provides added stability during operation.
ACT Series Overview
Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separators feature a highly efficient tangential design that helps clear the free air system and reduces un-dissolved sediment to save money, energy, and component wear.
