This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4903ADM, is a reliable solution for removing air and dirt from hydronic systems. It features a switchable on/off magnet that captures ferrous particles, preventing them from circulating throughout the system. This separator has a 3" flanged connection and can withstand pressures up to 125 psi. The Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator works by utilizing centrifugal force to separate air and dirt particles from the system's water flow. As water enters the separator, it is forced to change direction, causing heavier particles to settle at the bottom of the tank while lighter particles are carried out through the top. This process ensures that the hydronic system remains free of debris, which can cause damage to pumps and other components.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
