This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4902ADT, is a highly efficient air and dirt separator designed for use in hydronic systems. It features a 2" threaded connection and can withstand pressures of up to 150 psi. The separator works by removing air and dirt particles from the system, which can cause blockages and reduce efficiency. As water flows through the separator, it is forced to change direction several times, causing any air or dirt particles to separate from the water and collect at the bottom of the separator. The collected particles can then be easily removed through a blowdown valve. 4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
