This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4906ADHR, is a high-velocity separator designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. With a removable top cover and a 6" flanged connection, this separator can handle up to 125 psi. The separator works by utilizing centrifugal force to remove air and dirt particles from the water flowing through the system. The separated particles collect at the bottom of the unit, where they can be easily removed through a blowdown valve. This product is an essential component of any hydronic system, ensuring efficient operation and preventing damage to pumps, valves, and other components.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
