This Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator, Model ACT025, is designed to remove air from hydronic systems. It features a tangential inlet that creates a low-velocity centrifugal flow, allowing microbubbles and other entrained air to be separated from the water. The separator has a 2.5" threaded connection and can handle pressures up to 125 psi. The air is then vented through the top of the unit while the clean water continues to circulate through the system. This product is an essential component in hydronic systems as it helps prevent issues such as corrosion, noise, and reduced efficiency caused by trapped air.
ACT Series Overview
Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separators feature a highly efficient tangential design that helps clear the free air system and reduces un-dissolved sediment to save money, energy, and component wear.
