This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Dirt Separator, Model 49025DT, is a highly effective solution for removing dirt and debris from hydronic systems. With a 2.5" threaded connection and a maximum operating pressure of 125 psi, this dirt separator is designed to handle the demands of commercial applications. The unit operates by utilizing centrifugal force to remove dirt particles from the system fluid, which are then collected in an easy-to-remove chamber at the bottom of the separator. This process helps to prevent clogs and damage to pumps, valves, and other system components, resulting in improved efficiency and reduced maintenance costs. Made from durable materials and backed by Taco's reputation for quality, this dirt separator is an excellent choice for any commercial hydronic system.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
