This Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator, Model ACT03, is a highly efficient device that effectively removes air and other impurities from hydronic systems. It features a 3" flanged connection and can withstand pressures up to 125 psi. The tangential design of the separator creates a low-velocity centrifugal flow that allows for the removal of even the smallest microbubbles, ensuring optimal system performance. Additionally, this model includes a strainer to further protect against debris buildup. The separator works by utilizing the difference in specific gravity between air and water to separate them within the device. As the water flows through the separator, any entrained air or gas is separated and discharged through an automatic vent valve. This Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator is an essential component for maintaining efficient and reliable hydronic systems.
