This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4910AG, is a reliable and efficient solution for removing air from hydronic heating and cooling systems. With a 10" grooved connection and a maximum pressure rating of 150 psi, this air separator can handle high-volume applications in commercial buildings. The unit works by using centrifugal force to remove air bubbles from the system's water flow, which reduces noise, improves heat transfer, and prevents corrosion. The Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator features a durable steel body with a removable cover for easy access to the internal components. It also includes an integral strainer to protect downstream equipment from debris. Overall, this air separator is an essential component for ensuring optimal performance and longevity of hydronic systems in commercial settings.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
