This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air Separator, Model 4903AH, is a high velocity air separator designed for use in hydronic systems. It features a 3" flanged connection and is compatible with primary secondary air (psa) systems. With a maximum operating pressure of 125 psi, this air separator is capable of removing even the smallest air bubbles from the system, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. The unique design of the Taco 4900 Series uses centrifugal force to separate the air from the water in the system, eliminating the need for manual bleeding or venting. This results in a more reliable and cost-effective solution for maintaining optimal hydronic system performance.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
