This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4910ADR, is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic heating and cooling systems. The removable top cover allows for easy access to the internals of the separator for cleaning and maintenance. With a 10" flanged connection, it is suitable for use in larger commercial systems up to 125 psi. The base ring provides stability during installation and prevents damage to the separator from rough handling during transport or installation. This separator works by utilizing a coalescing medium that captures air and dirt particles, which are then removed through a purge valve. Its efficient design ensures that system efficiency is not compromised by trapped air or dirt buildup.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
