This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4906ADB, is designed to effectively remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. Its removable bottom cover makes it easy to access and clean the separator. The 6" flanged connection allows for easy installation into a variety of systems. With a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi, this separator can handle high-pressure applications. As fluid flows through the separator, it is forced to change direction, causing any air or dirt particles to be separated from the fluid and collected in the bottom of the unit. This ensures that hydronic systems operate efficiently and effectively by preventing damage to pumps, valves, and other components caused by air or dirt buildup.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
