This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4904ADH, is a high-velocity separator designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. With its 4" flanged connection and 150 psi capacity, this separator is ideal for use in commercial settings. It is also compatible with primary secondary air (psa) systems. The Taco 4900 Series separator works by using centrifugal force to separate the air and dirt from the water in the system. As the water flows through the separator, it spins around a central chamber, causing the heavier particles to be thrown to the outside where they can be easily removed. This results in a cleaner system that operates more efficiently, reducing maintenance costs and extending the life of equipment.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
