Shell & Tube Exchangers
Shell and tube heat exchangers consist of a shell (or a large pressure vessel) with a bundle of tubes inside. This allows one fluid to run through the tubes, and another to flow over the tubes (through the shell), thus transferring heat between the two fluids. Taco offers several different series of shell and tube exchangers:

Plate Heat Exchangers
Plate Heat Exchangers consist of a series of parallel plates that are placed one above the other to allow the formation of a series of channels for fluids to flow between them. If the plates are brazed, they have been through a furnace at high temperatures to offer a high level of thermal efficiency. They are compact, highly efficient, and durable. These heat exchangers can be up to 80-90% smaller than conventional shell and tube heat exchangers. The brazed plate construction offers a rugged, efficient, long-lasting heat exchanger that withstands demanding environments.

- .5mm plate thickness on standard designs for increased durability

- Movable pressure plate allows for cleaning without removing system piping
