Armstrong 4380 Series Vertical In-Line Pumps
Armstrong 4380 pumps are available as part of the Armstrong Design Envelope offering or as standard commercial pumps.
Armstrong 4380 Vertical In-Line Pumps
Armstrong 4380 pipe-mounted pumps are designed for space-saving installation and long service life. The vertical in-line design eliminates the need for inertia bases, housekeeping pads, flex connectors, and field alignment or grouting requirements and minimizes space and pipe requirements.
Armstrong 4380 Pump Features:
- Cast iron or ductile iron casing
- Silicon sintered carbide mechanical seal
- Cast iron or bronze impeller
- Inside single-spring mechanical seal
- Up to 2,500 US GPM (160 L/s) flow; up to 300 ft (90 m) head
- Maximum temperature of 250°F (121°C)
- Power range of 0.33 HP to 60 HP (0.25 kW to 45 kW)
- 1.5" to 8" (40 mm to 200 mm)
Armstrong 4380 Design Envelope Pumps
Design Envelope 4380 pumps are available in multiple configurations and sizes for HVAC-system pumping and control, general purpose pumping, or industrial/process pumping and control (water or glycol-based) applications.
4380 pumps are pipe-mounted UL 778 pumping units with integrated intelligent controls for space-saving installation and superior energy performance. They save up to 75% in energy over comparable traditional constant speed, or variable frequency operated pump installations. In addition, remote services through the internet enhance reliability and sustain optimal performance over the life of the pumps.
The Armstrong 4380's vertical in-line design eliminates the need for inertia bases, housekeeping pads, and flex connectors and reduces piping requirements. In addition, the integrated intelligent controls eliminate separate mounting of variable frequency drive (VFD) as well as procurement, installation (including wiring), calibration, and upkeep of differential pressure sensor.
The integrated intelligent controls – combined with perfect component match-up and tuning – save up to 75% energy over traditional constant speed and variable frequency operated pump installations.
Integrated intelligent controls are available for fast and easy commissioning and reduced radio frequency interference/improved electromagnetic compatibility. Optional performance management provides early warnings, online trending and analysis, and reports and summaries. Optional sediment filters or separators are available for extended seal life in contaminated systems—Independent operation through embedded Sensorless control or in conjunction with a building automation system (BAS).
