Bell & Gossett Series e-82 & e-82SC Twin In-Line Centrifugal Pumps

Bell & Gossett Series e-82 and e-82SC pumps are twin in-line centrifugal pumps designed for fluid circulation in heating and cooling systems. Their dual-pump configuration supports commercial and industrial HVAC applications where closed-loop water or glycol movement, space-efficient installation, and responsive flow control are important to maintaining thermal transfer, operational flexibility, and reliable system performance across demanding building environments.

Twin In-Line Pumping for Added Capacity, Redundancy, and Efficiency

Bell & Gossett Series e-82 and e-82SC twin vertical in-line centrifugal pumps are designed for systems that require parallel staging, standby capacity, or increased flow in a compact footprint. These pumps provide a practical solution for applications where added capacity and built-in redundancy are needed without the space requirements of a traditional parallel pump installation.

The Series e-82 close-coupled and Series e-82SC split-coupled pumps are stainless steel fitted and engineered to match the hydraulics and flange-to-flange dimensions of current pump models. This makes them a strong option for retrofit projects, including drop-in replacement for Series 80 and Series e-80 pumps when additional capacity or standby operation is required.

By using parallel pumping, the Series e-82 helps meet changing system demand with smaller horsepower motors and drives. As system load decreases, pumps can be de-staged to improve motor and drive efficiency while maintaining reliable system performance. When paired with optional ITSC or IT variable speed drives, the e-82 can provide additional energy savings at part-load conditions.

The Series e-82 also supports easy installation, service, and maintenance. The back pull-out design allows the pump to be serviced without disturbing the piping, helping reduce downtime. On e-82SC models, the patented shaft-jacking coupling design can help reduce labor costs and pump downtime, depending on mechanical room layout and lifting equipment availability.

A reliable flapper valve allows the pumps to operate independently or together in parallel. In duty/standby operation, the valve provides positive shutoff to one side of the pump. In parallel operation, system pressure positions the valve so both sides operate together for optimized hydraulic performance.
