Airtrol tank fittings help establish a proper initial liquid level in a compression tank when filling the hydronic system. They also help maintain adequate system pressurization by directing released air to the compression tank during system operation and permitting cooler liquid flow to the boiler during the off cycle as system liquid cools. Airtrol tank fittings must be used with the appropriate sized Airtrol Boiler Fitting, In-Line Airtrol, or Rolairtrol air separator.
Copper Red Ring Monoflo fittings allow a single pipe to serve as both the supply and return main. They connect risers to the main, assuring proper water division to each heating unit regardless of the type and its position in the system. They are recommended for most installations, including cast iron non-ferrous baseboards, free-standing radiation, or connectors. Only one fitting is usually needed for adequate diversion for up-feed radiation. A second fitting can be used for most applications if higher resistance is required.
