Grundfos SP Submersible Pumps for Groundwater, Deep Wells, Irrigation, Municipal Water Supply, and Pressure Boosting
Grundfos SP Submersible Pumps are borehole pumps designed for pumping groundwater from wells and underground water sources. Built for reliable submerged operation, the SP range is commonly used in municipal wells, agricultural irrigation, raw water supply, groundwater lowering, pressure boosting, fountain systems, mining applications, offshore applications, and industrial water supply systems.
The Grundfos SP Series is known for stainless steel construction, high hydraulic efficiency, and a broad performance range. Grundfos describes SP pumps as all-stainless-steel submersible borehole pumps available in three material grades and suitable for boreholes ranging from 4" through 6", 8", and 10" sizes. Motor sizes are available from 0.37 to 250 kW, giving the range flexibility across residential, commercial, municipal, agricultural, and industrial water applications.
The SP pump design is built for durability in demanding well and groundwater environments. Stainless steel construction helps reduce weight for easier handling during installation and service, while also supporting corrosion resistance in many groundwater conditions. Grundfos documentation also emphasizes high-efficiency hydraulic design and corrosion-resistant construction as key strengths of the SP range.
For higher-flow and higher-pressure requirements, the Grundfos SP-G range provides a cast iron edition of the SP pump with semi-axial impellers. Grundfos describes SP-G pumps as suitable for jobs requiring flow up to 450 m³/h and head up to 425 m, making them especially relevant for large water supply, irrigation, and industrial pumping applications.
