Taco 00 Series Variable Speed Circulators for Hydronic Heating, Solar, Outdoor Reset, Delta-T, and Building Automation Systems
Taco 00 Series Variable Speed Circulators are designed to adjust circulator performance based on system demand, temperature conditions, or an external control signal. Built on Taco’s 00® Cartridge Circulator platform, these pumps combine variable speed control with the reliability, serviceability, and installation convenience commonly associated with Taco hydronic circulators.
The 00 Series variable speed product line includes multiple control styles for different HVAC and hydronic applications, including variable voltage control, solar control, setpoint control, outdoor reset control, and Delta-T control. These options allow the circulator to respond to changing system conditions while helping improve comfort, reduce energy use, minimize short cycling, and support more stable system operation.
For building automation and DDC applications, Taco 00 Series Variable Speed/Variable Voltage Circulators can operate from external analog input signals, including 0–10 Vdc, 2–10 Vdc, 0–20 mA, and 4–20 mA. This makes them useful for applications such as maintaining pressure differential, controlling setpoint temperature, or integrating pump operation with a building management system.
For hydronic heating and radiant systems, Taco outdoor reset and Delta-T models help control supply water temperature and system temperature drop. The outdoor reset model modulates injection from the boiler loop into a radiant or reduced-temperature loop, while also including boiler sensor protection against low return water temperatures. The Delta-T model allows the installer to dial in the desired system or zone temperature difference, then automatically adjusts circulator output to match system BTU requirements.
For solar applications, Taco 00 Series Variable Speed Solar Control Circulators combine sensor wiring, pump power wiring, LED status indication, and configurable settings directly at the circulator. By continuously adjusting speed, these circulators help maximize collector output, increase usable higher-temperature water, reduce short cycling, and improve solar system performance.
