Taco Flo-Chek Valves for Hydronic Heating, Gravity Circulation Control, and Multi-Zone Boiler Systems

Taco Flo-Chek valves are designed to prevent unwanted gravity circulation in forced hot water heating systems. When the boiler is hot but a space heating zone is not calling for heat, the Flo-Chek helps stop hot water from moving through that zone by natural convection. This supports better temperature control, reduces unwanted heat migration, and helps improve overall hydronic system operation.

Flo-Chek valves open automatically when the circulator starts running, allowing flow through the active heating zone. In multi-circulator zoning systems, they help direct heat only to the zones that are calling, preventing inactive zones from receiving unnecessary flow.

These valves are also useful in systems where the boiler is used to maintain domestic hot water year-round. By preventing unwanted space heating circulation during non-heating calls, Taco Flo-Chek valves help support more controlled and efficient boiler operation. The built-in thumb screw can also be opened manually for gravity feed operation if the main circulator stops operating.
