Taco HS Series Horizontal Split Case Pumps

Taco HS Series horizontal split case pumps are centrifugal pumps designed for hot water heating, closed cooling, air conditioning, hydronic heating and cooling, water-glycol, solar, and geothermal applications. Their modular horizontal split-case construction supports simplified maintenance, future performance flexibility, improved efficiency, and service access where dependable high-capacity flow and pressure performance are important to long-term system operation.

Taco HS Series Horizontal Split Case Pumps for Commercial HVAC, Hydronic Heating, Cooling, and Water/Glycol Systems

Taco HS Series Horizontal Split Case Pumps are designed for commercial HVAC, hydronic heating and cooling, closed cooling circuits, air conditioning systems, and water/glycol applications. Built for dependable high-flow performance, the HS Series provides a serviceable split case pump solution for mechanical rooms, central plants, institutional facilities, and commercial building systems.

The HS Series uses a modular construction approach that provides broad pump performance from a limited number of bearing and shaft modules. This design helps simplify maintenance, improve application flexibility, and support future performance needs as system requirements change. Taco describes the HS Series as offering pump performance from 83 to 2,201 GPM from three basic bearing and shaft modules, with four model options ranging from 10 to 100 HP.

Compared with larger horizontal split case pump families, the HS Series is positioned for smaller-to-midrange high-flow applications where serviceability, efficiency, and replacement flexibility matter. Taco lists performance data of 100 to 2,000 GPM, head range from 10 to 250 feet, horsepower from 10 to 100 HP, and 6-inch pump sizing.

The horizontal split case design supports practical pump maintenance in commercial systems. Taco notes that the bearing and seal can be removed without removing the top cover, helping reduce service time and improve access during maintenance. The HS Series also offers improved efficiency and BEP performance and can serve as a direct bolt-in option for existing installations, making it useful for retrofit and replacement work where piping changes should be minimized.
