Taco SKV Series Vertical In-Line Pumps

Taco SKV Series vertical in-line pumps are SelfSensing variable-speed pumps designed for hot water heating, closed cooling, air conditioning, hydronic heating and cooling, water-glycol, solar, and geothermal applications. Their integrated pump-and-drive design with ProBalance technology supports constant flow, constant pressure, flow compensation, and duplex operation where simplified balancing, reduced sensor wiring, responsive demand control, and efficient long-term performance are important.

Taco SKV Series SelfSensing Vertical In-Line Pumps for Commercial HVAC, Hydronic Heating, Cooling, and Variable Flow Systems

Taco SKV Series SelfSensing Vertical In-Line Pumps are designed for commercial HVAC, hydronic heating, closed cooling, air conditioning, solar, geothermal, and water/glycol applications. Built as vertical in-line pumps with integrated drive technology, the SKV Series combines efficient pumping performance with advanced variable speed control for modern mechanical room systems.

The SKV Series uses Taco’s SelfSensing ProBalance® technology to simplify system balancing and variable flow operation. In constant flow mode, the pump automatically adjusts speed to maintain a user-defined flow set point, helping make do-it-yourself system balancing faster and more accurate. In variable flow mode, the pump adapts to system pressure changes and follows the system resistance curve to meet demand. This allows the same pump platform to support constant flow chiller and boiler pumping, as well as secondary variable flow applications.

Because the SKV Series integrates the pump and drive, it reduces the need for complex field wiring, remote differential pressure sensors, and separate control components. Taco also notes that the pump automatically responds to system demand changes, with available modes including constant flow, constant pressure, flow compensation, and duplex pump alternation.

With flow performance from 0.1 to 2,647 GPM, head range from 0.1 to 168 feet, standard temperature capability of 250°F, optional temperature capability up to 300°F, standard working pressure of 175 PSIG, optional 300 PSIG construction, horsepower from 1-1/2 to 75 HP, and sizes from 1-1/2" to 8", Taco SKV Series SelfSensing Vertical In-Line Pumps are built for commercial systems where efficiency, control, and simplified commissioning are important.
