Taco TA Series Single-Stage Double Suction Horizontal Split Case Pumps

Taco TA Series single-stage double suction horizontal split case pumps are centrifugal pumps designed for high-capacity hydronic heating, cooling, air conditioning, solar, geothermal, and water/glycol applications. Their modular horizontal split-case construction, removable upper casing, and double suction impeller design support installations where service access, reduced axial thrust, broad hydraulic coverage, and dependable long-term pump performance are important.

Taco TA Series Horizontal Split Case Pumps for Commercial HVAC, Hydronic Heating, Cooling, and Water/Glycol Systems

Taco TA Series Single-Stage Double Suction Horizontal Split Case Pumps are designed for high-capacity water circulation in commercial HVAC, hydronic heating and cooling, closed cooling circuits, air conditioning systems, and water/glycol applications. Built for demanding mechanical room and central plant service, the TA Series provides the flow, head, durability, and service access required for large-scale water movement.

The horizontal split case design allows the top half of the casing to be removed so the rotating assembly can be serviced without disturbing the system piping. This makes the TA Series a strong option for facilities where maintainability, uptime, and long-term pump service are important.

Taco uses a modular construction approach for the TA Series, allowing a broad range of pump performance from a smaller number of bearing and shaft modules. This modular design supports multiple seal and construction options, simplifies maintenance, and provides flexibility for changing system requirements. Taco lists more than 300 TA Series models, with pump performance from 40 to 5,800 GPM, head from 10 to 380 feet, horsepower from 3 to 400 HP, and sizes from 2" to 12".

The double suction hydraulic design helps virtually eliminate axial thrust and reduce bearing loading, which supports longer bearing life and stable pump operation. The rugged heavy-duty casing is designed for higher working pressures, improved structural integrity, and reduced distortion risk, while the impeller design supports minimum NPSH requirements and strong pump efficiency.
