This Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator, Model ACT12F, is a highly efficient air separator designed for use in hydronic systems. It features a 12" flanged connection and can operate at pressures of up to 125 psi. The unit also includes a strainer and base ring for added convenience. The tangential design of the separator allows for the removal of air and other gases from the system with minimal pressure drop, ensuring optimal system performance. As water flows through the separator, it is directed along a spiral path that separates out any entrained air or gas bubbles, which are then vented out through an automatic vent valve. This process helps to prevent issues such as corrosion and noise caused by trapped air in the system, leading to improved efficiency and longevity of the entire hydronic system.
ACT Series Overview
Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separators feature a highly efficient tangential design that helps clear the free air system and reduces un-dissolved sediment to save money, energy, and component wear.
