This Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator, Model ACT03F, is a 3" flanged connection device that operates at a maximum pressure of 150 psi. It comes equipped with a strainer and base ring to ensure efficient and reliable performance. The tangential design allows for the removal of air and microbubbles from the hydronic system by directing the flow of water in a circular motion. As water flows through the separator, air and other gases are separated from the fluid and collected in the top chamber of the device. These gases are then safely expelled through an automatic air vent while clean, de-aerated water is returned to the system. This process ensures optimal system performance by preventing corrosion, reducing noise, and improving heat transfer efficiency.
ACT Series Overview
Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separators feature a highly efficient tangential design that helps clear the free air system and reduces un-dissolved sediment to save money, energy, and component wear.
