This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4902ADT, is a high-quality product that is designed to effectively remove air and dirt from hydronic systems. The separator features a 2" threaded connection and can operate up to 125 psi. It is also primary secondary air (psa) compatible, which makes it ideal for use in commercial applications. The separator works by utilizing centrifugal force to remove air and dirt particles from the system's water flow. As the water flows through the separator, any air or dirt particles are separated from the water and collected in the separator's chamber. This ensures that the hydronic system operates at optimal efficiency, without any issues caused by air or dirt buildup.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
