This Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator, Model ACT08F, features an 8" flanged connection and a maximum working pressure of 250 psi. It comes equipped with a strainer and base ring for added convenience during installation. The tangential design of this air separator allows for efficient removal of air from hydronic systems, which can improve overall system performance and reduce energy consumption. As water enters the separator, it is directed along a spiral path that causes any entrained air to be separated from the water and collected at the top of the separator. This process helps to prevent issues such as pump cavitation, corrosion, and reduced heat transfer efficiency that can occur when air is allowed to remain in the system. With its robust construction and reliable performance, this Taco ACT Series Tangential Air Separator is an excellent choice for use in a variety of hydronic heating and cooling applications.
ACT Series Overview
