This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4912ADHG, is a high velocity separator designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic heating and cooling systems. The 12" grooved connection allows for easy installation in large commercial applications. With a maximum working pressure of 125 psi, this separator is capable of handling high flow rates while maintaining efficient separation of air and dirt particles. The unique design utilizes a stainless steel coalescing medium to capture air and dirt particles as they are forced through the system. Once captured, these particles are removed from the system through an automatic purge valve. This Taco separator helps to improve system efficiency by reducing the amount of air and dirt circulating in the hydronic system, resulting in less maintenance and longer equipment life.
4900 Series Overview
Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
