This NIBCO Press System lug style butterfly valve provides bi-directional dead-end service without a downstream flange, and bubble-tight shutoff at 200 psi. The valve features press-to-connect end connections with an inboard bead and EPDM O-rings for quick and easy joinery to the piping system. Simply applying pressure from a press-fit tool tightens the O-ring onto the tube, ensuring a clean, permanent, watertight seal in seconds, with no flame, solder or flux. This NIBCO lug type butterfly valve is ideal for commercial and some light industrial process applications, including HVAC and vacuum services, in addition to hot and cold potable water. The ductile iron butterfly valve provides ease of operation with quarter-turn (90 degrees) open to close. With the internal stem/disc geometric drive design, there is no need for pins or bolts that may create leak paths or turbulence in the waterway. An extended neck allows for insulation up to 2 inches. The unique molded-in EPDM seat liner with aluminum bronze disc is recommended for most water applications. This NIBCO Press System is user friendly, quick and easy to install.
