This Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air and Dirt Separator, Model 4910ADH, is a high velocity, 10" flanged connection device that is designed to remove air and dirt from hydronic heating and cooling systems. The separator uses a patented coalescing medium to remove even the smallest particles of dirt or debris that can cause damage to pumps, valves, and other system components. The device has a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi and comes equipped with a base ring for easy installation. As water flows through the separator, the coalescing medium captures any air or dirt particles present in the system, which are then discharged through an automatic purge valve. This process ensures that the hydronic system operates efficiently and effectively while minimizing maintenance requirements.

Taco 4900 Series Commercial Air & Dirt Separators efficiently remove air, dirt, and other contaminants from system components, enhancing efficiency and longevity. They use patented PALL ring technology to eliminate micro-bubbles and debris, while an optional magnet collects iron oxide and magnetite.
These separators also feature a vent mechanism for releasing merged micro-bubbles and a blowdown valve to dispose of dirt. The magnet, easily activated by a handle, simplifies maintenance and magnetite removal. They are suitable for systems with variable speed and constant flow.
Taco 4900 Series separators are constructed and tested to ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 standards. Their design is guided by computerized selection, tailored for each application. All manufacturing occurs in-house, ensuring quality. Independent third-party tests validate performance.
