This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and cover and utilizes a stainless steel impeller for fluid transfer. The design incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft configuration rated for 125 PSI, which protects the pump shaft by eliminating contact with the circulating fluid. A ceramic seal seat with EPT rubber elements manages sealing duties. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for system monitoring, while the dry shaft assembly facilitates field maintenance.
Operating at 10 HP, this pump utilizes a premium efficiency TEFC motor that runs at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding for protection against electrical discharge, powered by 380-460V 3PH electricity. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
