Integrated Close-Coupled Pumping for Reliable, Responsive System Performance
Taco SCI Series close-coupled end suction pumps are designed to deliver reliability, easy installation, and responsive system performance for heating, air conditioning, pressure boosting, cooling water transfer, and water supply applications. With an integrated pump and drive design, the SCI Series automatically responds to changes in system demand without requiring remote sensors or complex wiring.
Built for efficient installation and long-term serviceability, SCI Series pumps include an easy-to-replace slip-on shaft sleeve that simplifies field seal maintenance and helps reduce maintenance costs. Taco’s exclusive dry shaft design protects the pump shaft by preventing contact with the circulating fluid, reducing the need for expensive corrosion-resistant shaft materials in many applications.
Flush seal line taps allow a filter to be installed to help protect the seal from non-condensable particles found in open systems. Standard pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections make system monitoring, testing, and service more convenient.
The SCI Series also supports multiple operating modes, including constant flow, constant pressure, flow compensation, and duplex pump alternation. Parallel pumping operation is available with Taco’s Modulating Pump Controller, giving system designers and building operators added flexibility for changing load conditions.
Select Taco products also feature eLink® connectivity, Taco Comfort Solutions’ cloud-based service platform. eLink gives users access to device data, performance information, status updates, monitoring, support, and control from a mobile phone, tablet, or laptop. Products featuring eLink may support application-specific functions for support, monitoring, or controls.
