This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft, while the mechanical seal is constructed with ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components. This configuration supports a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. Integrated gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections allow for pressure monitoring during operation.
This assembly utilizes a 40 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding at 200-230V / 3PH power, maintaining a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
