This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design rated for 125 PSI. An EPT rubber and ceramic seat mechanical seal prevents fluid contact with the shaft, while the volute provides center-line discharge for air venting. The unit incorporates gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections and a drain port at the bottom of the casing.
The motor operates at 60 HP with a premium efficiency rating in a TEFC enclosure at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding on a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
