This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, while utilizing a dry shaft configuration to prevent fluid contact with the shaft. A mechanical seal assembly incorporates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, supporting operation at 125 PSI. The volute utilizes center-line discharge for air venting and provides integrated pressure tappings at both the suction and discharge connections.
The 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 3450 RPM and integrates Aegis grounding, utilizing a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
