This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, shielded by a dry shaft construction that prevents contact with circulating fluid. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components seals the assembly, which is rated for 125 PSI operation. Hydraulically balanced to handle fluid flow, the pump includes integrated mounting feet on the casing and gauge ports located at the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The system utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on 380-460V 3PH power, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
